In its Aug. 11 report (on line at http://www.dallasnews.com/inward/20120... In addition to its published report in its Sunday book of August 19, the Dallas Morning News mentioned essentially the Ryan method may favor the wealthy and punishes poor people.
"Nonpartisan studies of Ryan?s recommended tax figured its advantages would generally accrue to the wealthy...
Even though Obama requires growing taxes on larger-earnings earners, Ryan may possibly just do the option, shedding the most really powerful revenue tax price to 25 percent from subsequent year?s 39.6 percent.

So, you're saying the Dallas Morning News is the exception when it comes to supporting democrats? I doubt it.
Polls on how Americans saw the mainstream media (TV and print) election coverage in 2008:
-Rasmussen poll: 69% for Obama, 6% for McCain
-Pew Research poll: 67% for Obama, 11% for McCain
-Sacred Heart University poll: 68% for Obama, 9% for McCain
-Fox News/Opinion Dynamics poll: 67% for Obama, 11% for McCain
University of Connecticut?s Department of Public Policy survey of journalists, nationwide, during the 2008 election: 52% supported Obama versus 19% for McCain.

8/27/10 The Examiner: ?Obama and Democrats got 88% of 2008 contributions by TV network execs, writers, reporters?: Senior executives, on-air personalities, producers, reporters, editors, writers and other self-identifying employees of ABC, CBS and NBC contributed more than $1 million to Democratic candidates and campaign committees in 2008. Democratic total of $1,020,816 was given by 1,160 employees of the three major broadcast television networks, with an average contribution of $880. By contrast, only 193 of the employees contributed to Republican candidates and campaign committees, for a total of $142,863.

8/15/12 rasmussenreports.com: A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 59% of Likely U.S. Voters believe Obama has received the best treatment from the media so far. Just 18% think his Republican challenger has been treated better.

As a whole, I trust the opinion of the American people. I would be OK with people choosing Obama if I knew that all of the voters knew what they were voting for. Democrats (more than republicans) tend to vote in ignorance, probably because many are poor or uneducated. I would hate to elect a person because of influential but false advertising.
There is an aura built up around republicans that makes them look racist, greedy and hateful of the poor. This just is not true. Yet perception seems to trump truth.

First, you do realize that with roughly 48% of tax payers paying no income tax, there is not much more you can do for those that already have zero tax liabilities.
Also, according to the experts the lowest 40% actually get more back in Federal funds so they actually have a negative tax liability.
As for the Medicare voucher program it looks like the media keeps forgetting the part that allows those under 55 to have a CHOICE on whether to do the voucher program or the traditional version.
Finally, in case you don't realize, both Medicare and Social Security are broke and needs fixing not to have the Government collect less in taxes to support them.
Also, most large city newspapers are not very conservative no matter where they are located.
