People with loved ones want to take care of them whether they're here or not.
If you don't fall into that category then don't get life insurance.

As a form of financial security; in the case of any events that render one unable to work, the financial security can come in handy either to sustain the current life style, medical costs or in the most unfortunate circumstances, the loved ones are taken care of.

Taking out Home and contents insurance is becoming a FARCE. I have never had to make a claim for the last 50 years . This year I had to ask my insurers to take a look at the cracking marks on my outside wall. My insurers immediately redirected me to another company and the answer i received was that even if it was nothing to be worried about ,

1) I would lose my No claims Bonus and my insurance would go UP.

2) That my description about the appeared crack was a maintenance Issue.

How can they tell without even seeing the crack? My fear was that it may be a sign of creeping subsidence.

The only time an insurance company would bother is if a room or part of the house actually fell down.

The number of dodges that insurance companies have to get out of doing a survey before taking my money is well known ---because if they are faced with a claim later they can can dishonour the claim much easier.
Next Year i will not take out insurance of the house. I shall look to insure with Master Builders Association only following a survey if possible.
