Because the only one complaining is some republican catholic bishop who wants to make an issue of it.

Because up until this moment, it was not a big deal.

From DePaul University (as noted, the largest Catholic U in America):

“The employee health insurance plans include a prescription contraceptive benefit, in compliance with state and federal law,” DePaul University spokesperson Robin Florzak confirmed to ThinkProgress. “An optional insurance plan that covers such benefits is available to students, also due to previously established state and federal requirements.”

Note the IN COMPLIANCE WITH STATE AND FEDERAL LAW portion of the statement. You know, being "forced" to do it. The thing that nobody cared about until now.

People are freaking out, not noting that the ruling exempts houses of worship and nonprofits that primarily employ and serve people of faith from providing contraception coverage--which mirrors laws already existing in six states;

Betrayal exists.
Those actions are NOT condoned.
I believe in Liberty so if you want to murder your baby, pay for it yourself.
Meanwhile, it is quite obvious that most of those receiving those benefits are NOT receiving them for Health Related situations (yes, there are a few rare exceptions) and so it is Fraud to demand that Insurance pay for the misuse of those products and services.
Those misusing those benefits are Criminals.

Exactly what part of "shall not be infringed" is so difficult to understand? If a church-provided org does this, it is BECAUSE THEY CHOOSE TO DO SO which is the whole basis of the argument against the government TELLING THEM THEY HAVE TO! And isn't the "right to" the whole basis of the left cheering the Ninth Circuits decision to deny Prop 8? Apparently, a group's Constitutional rights is only important if it fits the prevalent CAUSE...

They have non-Catholic female employees so you are correct. What the Health Act does is give women a free wellcare or preventive consultation for these services which includes birth control. Maybe the objection is that they dont have to pay for this wellcare visit?

Aaah.. I see where your problem is.

You're under the impression that because you're a mindless, unthinking drone that does whatever your puppet masters tell you.. that everybody is like that. You simply can't comprehend that members of the same group may have people with different views who act differently than others of their group.

Because they choose to.

You know, that "choice" thing the Far Left pretends to be so concerned about? (At least, until it applies to choices that they don't approve of.)

One has to wonder if you're possessed of the requisite wit to comprehend the difference between an entity doing something because they so choose and an entity doing something because the government dictates they do so.

Hmmm...

It's "offered" is NOT the same thing as "forcing" it.

That said, I don't think any Catholic institution should even offer it.
