What Will My Dog Need Annual At The Vets, Like Boosters And Dental Check Ups?

I have yearly exams done.
Vaccinations are done about every three years.
The teeth are checked during the annual exam.
So far I haven't had to have them professionally cleaned.
I also do an annual heartworm check with preventative and have a fecal checked for internal parasites.
On may geriatric dogs I have a basic blood screen and UA done.

You need to check with the vet you're going to use to find out if they use 1 or 3 year vaccines.
If your dog is a puppy, you will need to go back to the vet every 2 to 3 weeks for boosters until the dog is about 6 months old, then you go yearly.

Vaccines are also dependent upon the lifestyle your dog will have (will it be around other animals at all - that includes groomers, dog parks, kennels, etc.).

Rabies (required by law)

Distemper (most vets have this as a combo shot with Parvo & Corona)

Lepto (transmitted by the urine of racoons)

Lyme (transmitted by ticks)

Bordetella (kennel cough vaccine)

It's also recommended to have a heartworm test done yearly and to keep the dog on heartworm preventative year-round.
You have to wait until the dog is 7 months old to have this test because earlier than that could produce a false positive result.

You should also take a stool sample with you each year to check for intestinal parasites.

The "dental checkup" is really part of the yearly exam (the vet will look at the dog's teeth and gums to see if there's tartar/gingivitis).
In order for a full dentistry (cleaning) the dog would need to be sedated.

Hope this helped!

I'm assuming your dog is an adult.
Pets need yearly check-ups just like people.
It is very important for make sure they are in good health, and their teeth are okay and not covered with tarter.
For dogs after seven years I recommend full blood work plus T4 (for thyroid) yearly or with mine I do blood work every six months.

Thank you for having pet insurance, your dog thanks you too.

Here's the protocol for vaccines. Please note vaccines NOT recommended.

Seeing as booster shots are pointless money wasters, as you can't become more immune to something once you're already immune to it...You don't need anything annual unless you've had previous health problems. Just check-ups regularly.

I actually have a vet i've got confidence and he continually advcie each year boosters. in case you do not have the each year boosters any ailment that the insure organisation have confidence is suitable and would have been prevented by potential of boosters they gained't conceal.
