So I have been taking Sprintec birth control for about 6 months now and I am having some serious issues. Before taking this birth control I was not taking any. My periods were every month to month and a half depending on my stress levels. My periods were always very heavy with heavy clotting. Because my period was like this I could not sleep and had sever back pain so I decided to go to the clinic since I can not afford health insurance. I was placed on Ortho Tri Cyclen but could not afford the $80 a month. So she put me on Sprintec. So I have read in several places that up to 6 moths of taking birth control you can experience missed periods and have more than than one a month as well. Here is were I need help. I have had more than one period a month for the past 5 months that are extremely heavy and worse than the periods before birth control. Like I said I can not afford health insurance so I defiantly can not afford a trip to the doctor nor the higher end birth controls. I have looked for free clinics in my area (Columbia, SC) but have had no luck. I went to planned Parenthood for my birth control originally but they are beginning to give me the run around. Please help. I am just looking to have a normal period thats lighter and predictable instead of constant. Also I take my birth control at the same time everyday and never miss a pill. What could it be?
