If you would be fired with for a justified reason you would not qualify for unemployment. Make sure you correct things on your part that might cause you to be fired. If the firing would be for no fault on your side only then you might be eligible for unemployment. UED would still have to do investigation to confirm that. If you would lose your job you can apply for Unemployment either online or over the phone. You can find more detailed information if you go to the Employment Departments' website of your state.

If you need to apply Social Security Disability based on your mental health, you can do it either online if you go to SSA website or in person by going to their office. If your disability is so severe that it prevents you from work you can apply for disability any time.

It would not make you automatically eligible for Medicaid. You would have to contact your local Medicaid office in order to determine if you are eligible.

If you will need medical insurance after you lose your job your best option would be contact independent insurance agent for consultation.

You cannot qualify for Medicaid unless you have almost no income, have children, are disabled, or under 21. If you lose your job, you can apply for unemployment as soon as that happens.

When you get fired, you take the exit paperwork to your local unemployment office and apply.

Your employer should offer you COBRA insurance.
You pay the premiums to keep your existing health insurance for a certain period.
It is unlikely that you will qualify for Medicaid.
You would probably have to apply thru welfare.
