I have been collecting NY State unemployment insurance and am still eligible (i haven't claimed 26 weeks of unemployment yet). I accepted a 1 month temporary independent contractor position (I did not file for unemployment benefits the month I was doing contracting work). Since the month is over I want to file for unemployment under my existing claim. Am I ok to do this or will I run into issues?
