I Think I May Have Cancer! What Should I Do?

Postby Giovanni » Fri Oct 06, 2017 3:04 pm

I am a 27 year old male and my body doesn't feel as healthy as it used to.
I had a supermodelle removed last August at leasthat'sts what the Dr. said it was.
There was no scan or anything done both Doctors did the same test basically felt around and classified it as a benign tumor.
I had insurance at the time but ended up loosing my job after a outpatient surgery that was supposed to keep me from work for 3 days turned into over three weeks so I lost my job and insurance.
I went to a free health care clinic but nobody will test me for cancer because they all say that they are sure I dont have cancer or ulsers. I know that I am no physician but I know my body doesnt feel right.
My core section is weak and I am having sharp abdominal pains.
The free clinc said it was muscle spasams in my diaphragm which I dont believe. Where can I go to get some test ran without insurance and about how much would it cost? I would just like some kind of confirmation besides them telling me the chances of me having some kind of internal cancer is slim to none because of my age. All three say that I am healthy but seems to me as if they were rushing through the process. Someone please help me with a little advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Get an MRI with and without contrast. That will confirm this 100%

Tommy, Not sure where you live, but if your in the US, anytime they remove anything from your body, weather it looks cancerous or not, it is usually always sent to a pathologist to make sure it is not cancerous or there or no other pathological issues. I would listen to your Doctors and dont panic...

The second issue I noted in your question, if you Live in the US and you had a medical procedure that put you off work for 3 weeks, your company cannot fire you!!!!! If you were considered a Full-Time Non-Exempt employee (30+ hours per week) it is illegal to fire you. The Federal Law is the FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act) and then, depending on the state you live in, there are State Laws that cover this and protect you. They company has to give you 90 days. They dont have to pay you during those 90 days, but they cannot fire you!!!!,,,So, if you are being accurate in your description, you may also need to seek the advice of an Attorney that specializes in Labor Law......

Good luck and Dont panic,,,,,,pretty sure you dont have cancer
