Seniors: What 'recession' Cuts Have You Made/planned For, In Your Own Spending Budget ?

I accept that my income will fall and some taxation will increase to pay for the wild spending spree of the last government. I will cut down on my car mileage so that it's for essential driving only, charities who send money overseas will get no more from me, and I will use 2 for 1 in the local supermarkets where ever possible.

You have to be very quick off the mark in the local supermarkets. They are frequented by local corner shop proprietors, some of devious origin, who snap up 2 for ones, and then offer them in their own shops at the market price plus 10% because they are "convenience"shops.

Last week my local Tesco did a 3 for 1. Immediately a local shopkeeper took in of the very deep trolleys filled to the brim to the check out desk with just one such product. He carefully chose a desk where the assistant was from his own background, and may well have been a distant cousin. 2 for 1, and 3 for 1 sales should be limited to a maximum purchase size, six would be a reasonable number to protect the average family shopper.
