Red Light Traffic Warrant In Texas?

Postby Woolsey » Mon Oct 09, 2017 9:50 pm

So my car is registered under my mom's name, who lives in Kansas, and I still live in Dallas. She gave the car to me, but is still under her name...well around mid August, I accidentally didn't stop all the way while turning right at a red light and the camera flashed me, and I was waiting for my mom to get something in the mail before telling her, but she never said anything about it. Turns out the address of the car is at my mom's old house, here in TX, while I live with my friend and her family...I got pulled over today for speeding and the officer said that my mom had a warrant out for her arrest.... turns out it was my fault. Can I pay it without getting anything on my record? What is going to happen? How much is it going to cost? Will my insurance and mom know?

You will need to get in touch with the authorities to clear this up and pay the ticket.
There will most likely be penalties for the late payment.

Second, get the registration fixed ASAP.
