I have 3 dogs. 2 chihuahuas & a Shar Pei. My chihuahuas are really healthy and never have problems, but they are 10 years old. My Shar Pei has ongoing health issues. Would pet health insurance be worth it? I have no idea what they cover or options.

Trupanion will cover the chihuahuas even at age 10. The Shar Pei would get coverage but not for the current health issues. This plan covers 90% after the deductible (which is lifetime per incident) with no payout limits. It does not cover routine care. At 10 you may not be able to insure them because of the age i know my insurance is under 8 and under dogs over 8 they wont insure.Unless you took the policy out before the age of 8
I would just save money into another account just in case .

Unfortunately because of their ages you likely won't be able to get coverage. Also in the case of the Shar-pei everything will be considered per-existing and not eligible for coverage.
