She pays 20% of 121.04, which is .2*121.04=$24.21

She pays this each month, so in a year she makes 12 of these payments, which is
24.21*12=$290.50

The answer is D.

$121.04/mo = $1,452.48/yr (121.04 x 12 = 1,452.48).

If Edna's employer covers 80% of the cost, then Edna must pay the remaining 20%. $1,452.48 x .20 = $290.496. The answer is 'd'.

share /month of edna;

121.04 (1-80/100)
121.04 * .2
24.208

rounding

$24.21/month

12 months * 24.21/month

288 + 2.40 + .12

290.52 is what Edna pays per year.
