States vary in their eligibility requirements but, generally, in order to receive unemployment insurance benefits one must meet these specific requirements before benefits can be paid.

Individuals must:

Have received enough wages during the base period to establish a claim.
Be totally or partially unemployed.
Be unemployed through no fault of his/her own.
Be physically able to work.
Be ready and willing to immediately accept work.
Be actively seeking employment.

If you meet all of the above qualifications you will not be declined.

No, quite the opposite.

As long as your paperwork looks like you qualify (your employer paid in the insurance long enough, you had an employer, you lost your job through no fault of your own), they approve you. They DO send your employer a letter, allowing them to CONTEST any of the facts you represent on your application. As long as your former employer doesn't dispute any facts, you get it.

If they DO dispute facts, there's a hearing, and a worker for the state decides who's telling the truth.

Depends on why you lost the job. If you were fired without cause, you will get U/E.

Nope. Mine got processed and accepted, though it took a couple of months to kick in.
