denied coverage for pre existing conditions?

Once "Obamacare" is repealed, they will be free to reject coverage on anything that might be wrong with the person when they reach 65.

Brilliant I say.
The insurance companies can pick and choose as they do now and make billions more in profits off our meat.

Exactly. We will always need a program similar to Medicare if we are to be a civilized nation. It is barbaric to abandon our elderly. Insurance companies will not help the old because being over 60 means more health problems and more expensive health care. Only the government can provide that, because private companies must be concerned with what is profitable.

Even the American indians and the most primitive of African tribes people take care of their elderly.

I'm sorry to see you don't understand how this is going to work... Unless Obamacare is repealed, when it comes time for granny to need a new hip, she's going to be put in a wheel chair and left to die, because they would rather pay for an abortion than a hip for granny...

Of course if we are lucky enough to have this dismal health care program that's being set up repealed, we will once again have access to the best health care in the world.

You ask this question like Democrats have a viable alternative that won't result in something similar or worse.

Democrats plan seems to be pretend Medicare isn't on the verge of insolvency and paint Republicans as crazy for trying to modify it.

Medicare is DEFINITELY on the verge of insolvency.

So you can either leave it the way it is (and let it go completely bankrupt in no less than 20 years) or begin modifying/replacing it with something else.

It's theft - is what it is.
People payed into these programs for decades and Republicans used the surplus.
They they think they can offer a TBD value Voucher for health care - that "may or may not" be enough to pay for insurance!

Doc--YOU ARE SO WRONG---------I work with medicare and insurance--------when a person turns 65, and gets on medicare---NO INSURANCE COMPANY can deny them coverage NO MATTER WHAT. No health questions are asked nor any doctor info is requested. ALL PEOPLE ARE GUARANTEED ISSUE. So, your question is invalid--------actually the direct opposite happens that what you assumed. Insurance companies TAKE ALL THE RISKS.
You might want to rethink your opinion.

Nope. Do you know what a HSA is? Perhaps you should look that up.

Also if you want to be technically accurate, that is exactly what Obama is doing by cutting medicare and moving 500B in funding into obamacare.

Also as more and more doctors turn away medicare patients, and considering the fact that medicare denies a much higher percentage of claims than private insurance(If I remember correclty it denies about 2 times as many (in terms of percentage)), please explain to us how great it is.

Medicare uses private health insurance companies now. The only difference is that the person would get a voucher so they could use medical services more sparingly or judiciously instead of the provider billing Medicare.
