Excluding kennel fees (ad hoc) but including start-up equipment, boosters, pet insurance etc?

I have friends who want to get two Labrador puppies and I don't think they've thought things through on any level - time, space, financial etc.

Thanks

well my pet insurance for my husky x is around £25 a month
his food is dry kibble and thats £16 a week
yearly boosters are around £30 depending on the vets
wormer every 3 months £12 (around)
then there is if he needs to be seen at the vets for any emergency problem so depending what thats for then u have to pay the excess of ure insurance so usually thats around £50
castration is around £130 depending on the vets again
toys, bedding and bowls worked out around £40 for everything when he was a puppy.
labradors are working dogs so they need alot of exercise my husky gets around 5 miles a day and needs alot of stimulation as they get board.
hope that helps a bit anyway x

Okay, I have a lab and he is CRAZY!!! They need lots of time spent with people, they love to please and just to spend time playing fetch or going to the beach... They are very easy to train they are quite the smart dogs! They need space to run and man do they love to run! It is absolutely necessary to train them a reliable recall because they get distracted with smells, noises , etc. Well we buy a separate kind of dog food for our lab because of his hip problems and a high quality dog food costs us about $45 and lasts us about a month 1/2 for a 30 lb. bag. Tell your friends they'd better think things threw before actually taking on TWO (?!?) labs.

old ralphie is out to lunch they will cost u as much as u want to spend purina in bulk the best choice any bowl will do and train your own dog first shots are usually on the breeder and other than a rabie shot which u can get at any spondsered clinic in your county for around 10 dollars spay and nutered can be reduced at spondsered clinic depending on your income usually thru the aspca in your area cost is the last thing that should be considered if u get that companionship and if cost is the issue don't get them that question is like asking were having twin children how much will they cost da
