How Much Should I Ask For When I'm At This Job Interview?

Postby Erchanhardt » Thu Oct 12, 2017 3:23 am

I recently applied for a position at a hospital in my town. I haven't secured an interview, yet, but i'm being very optimistic (as everyone should be when applying for a job). On the application it asked which position I wanted to apply for and what salary I expected to get. I filled out the position but instead of writing a salary I put "negotiable". If, and/or when I get a call back and I'm in the interview what would be a good/acceptable salary to ask for? I couldn't find any info about this kind of job on salary.com or places like that. Here is the listing for the job:

POSITION: Financial Counselor/Cashier

DEPARTMENT: Business Office

STATUS: Full Time

REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma. Computer experience required with insurance background. Must be able to deal with the public. Six months experience as a cashier required.

JOB DUTIES: Work independently with section of alphabet to include follow-ups of accounts through collection agency. Ability to adjust to situations involving repetitive and short cycle operations. Performs cashiering transactions in the collection of accounts and related duties. Receives payments, issue receipts, and balancing cash.

I would appreciate feedback :) thanks!!!!
