How Can I Find Out About The Law That Lets Therapeuti Animals Live With Someone With Out Having To Pay Deposit?

Can anyone tell me how to find out the law about therapeutic animals? I heard that it doesn't matter the breed. But our landlords say they can evict us because they don't allow that breed here.

Nothing at all trumps breed restrictions, which are insurance driven.

Therapy animals have no special deposit rules.
They are allowed on airplanes, in the cabin, that is the only time they are anything other then a pet.

Service animals, such as Guide Dogs for the Blind are exempt from housing restrictions, but they are not going to be training any pit bulls to work at anything.

First off...therapeutic/support dogs are not recognized under the ADA laws.
Only certified trained service animals.

Second, having a "dangerous breed" animal will cause the landlord to lose his homeowners insurance..thus can legally be restricted.

Third...a landlord can still charge a deposit for certified dogs...they just can deny them.

I suggest you read the Americans with Disabilities Act very carefully.
