You go to the property tax website, to get the taxes for each house. And you can ask the real estate agent what the current homeowner pays, when you look at each house.
I can tell you, it's the highest rates in the country. You'll need three policies - wind, flood, and homeowners. If you buy a modest 1200 square foot home, the insurance for all three policies combined, will probably run you damn close to $6,000 a year.
That's one of the reasons property values have fallen so sharply in Florida in the past few years.
