High school sports insurance Florida?

Postby carlin44 » Mon May 27, 2013 12:36 pm

I'm a 15 year old varsity baseball player in Florida. On the 19th of March, I had a partial tear of my biceps tendon in my right elbow along with a suspected injury to the RCL, and LUCL (MRI results). I don't have primary health insurance (even though my Dad's a doctor haha) but my school carries insurance for student athletes. I'm going the the Andrews Institute in Gulf Breeze, FL. What do you think my coverage will be like? I know it's a rather hard question but thanks for anything!

The school insurance policy will likely be minimal, maybe $25-$50K max.
Also, those policies will very frequently only apply to emergency treatment. So, the ambulance ride might be paid for, but your year + of physical therapy would not.
