New York Department of Labor send me a letter and it say that our yearly examination of unemployment insurance overpayment accounts indicates that the above balance is outstanding on your account. Recent payments, however, may not be reflected in the balance due.
This audit letter is sent to all claimants including those who have repayment agreements or currently paying.
If you agree that the amount due is correct, and you are currently making payments. no reply is required. However, if you are not making payments we request that you pay in full. If you are unable to pay the entire amount, you must request a repayment agreement by calling the number. failure to make repayment may compel us to refer our case for appropriate legal proceedings.

Call the Number they gave You- & set up a Payment Plan with Them. If you DON'T -they're gonna find a way to "garnish your Wages"- & I PROMISE You- that THOSE Terms are going to be a lot WORSE !!! (and then it REALLY WILL mess up your Credit...). :(

I am not an expert, but generally--

If it's non-fraud, they can take your tax refunds and garnish your wages.

If it's because of fraud, they can also refer it to the DA, file a lien against your property (which will affect your credit), seize your bank account.
