I got a free trailer home in a park. We moved in bcuz we were homeless even though the place needed a lot of work... Its a big safety risk but its shelter. The title has just been handed over 4X never transferred, filled out and not sent in by one person and its still in the original owners name. The park owners know this and have seen the hazardous conditions. If anything happens like electrical fire..i dont have home insurance and theres only 1 door.....who is liable to cover damages? Also could original owner take back trailer and kick us out? This is in Michigan

You at least should have renter's insurance to cover your personal possessions

You will be liable. Not recording this does not mean you are not liable. If you do not have insurance you will be paying for any damages for the rest of your life.
