I'm afraid the very high number of uninsured Asians driving in the uk has put you into an very high risk group. What's happening is a large number of Asians drive with minimal or no insurance, and if caught and prosecuted they return to India and disappear.

I realise this is not you, and it is not the majority of immigrants who do this, but the insurance companies will make you pay for the costs incurred by other immigrants. No way round it, at least you know that even nationals pay around £2k for insurance aged 22 with 1 years no claims.
