my mom wants to get insurance on her used vehicle, she hasn't got a car since like about 2004 and this car she is about to pick up tomororrow needs insurance on. But before we go to agencies tomororow to find out, what is the typical down payment she is going to get asked?? she's 47 and has been driving since 92' and has never had any points or tickets. How much should she atleast have in her bank account before she heads over to the agency???

Depends on how she sets it up, various ways. She can pay the whole lump some, or maybe have to pay the first and last month's premium, or maybe just the first month's premium. Does she not have a credit card? I would say, to be on the safe side, to bring about $300 cash if not. Probably way too much, but you never know.
