Can I Insure A A Car/van I Am Not Licensed To Drive?

Postby Menassah » Tue Oct 10, 2017 7:35 pm

Looking to buy a van, not using it for its driving capability but the storage in the back (transit most likely). I actually want to destroy the capability of driving it, but want it to store my motorcycles in a secure place as its not to how I like it here for parking. Silly to some maybe but once you strip the battery plugs clamp the wheel and alarm the thing meets a perfect need. I need it insured as it will sit in a car park so obviously need insurance.

Highly unlikely as to be the policyholder just about all if not all insurers will require you to hold a licence even if it is provisional - one of those will cost you £50.

It will also need road tax if the car park is available for public access even if it is a privately owned space
