Blood Test Vs Home Pregnancy Test?

Postby Karsten » Wed Mar 26, 2014 12:21 am

I asked a question about if I should take another home pregnancy test because I'm 8 days late but they have said negative. I was advised to get blood work and to "not wait any longer". Which this person made it seem like my life is in danger if I don't find out right away if I'm pregnant or not. If I do decide to go get blood work done where would I do that? I don't have insurance so roughly how much would it cost me?

A home test would show positive by now. Wait another week and test at home again before you get a blood test. There's no telling what it's going to cost, it has to be ordered by a doctor. So you'll have to pay for the appointment, the lab fees, and the test.

Pregnancy tests are accurate if used correctly, if your 1-2 weeks late their accurate and if you test using first pee of that day
